Most typing platforms make you create an account before you can do anything useful. Typing Play Ground doesn’t. Open the site, start the test — that’s it.

No registration means no inbox full of emails you never asked for. Your time stays yours, and your focus stays on the one thing that actually matters here: getting faster at typing.

Earn Your
Typing Certificate

Once you finish a typing test on Typing Playground, your certificate appears on screen immediately — no waiting, no extra steps. Print it out or save it digitally and attach it to a resume, LinkedIn profile, or job application wherever typing ability is relevant.

There are three certification levels, and your tier is determined by how fast you type. The higher your WPM, the higher the certificate you earn. Your accuracy percentage is printed on the certificate too, so employers can see not just how fast you type but how clean your typing actually is.

How Typing
Speed and Accuracy Are Calculated

Speed is measured in WPM — words per minute. Every five characters typed counts as one word, including spaces. So if you type 200 characters in a minute, that works out to 40 WPM. This five-character standard is used across the industry, which means your Typing Playground score is directly comparable to results from employer assessments and other typing platforms.

Accuracy is calculated separately, based on the number of errors made during the test. It shows up as a percentage — so 96% accuracy means 4 out of every 100 characters had a mistake. Both numbers appear on your results page and your certificate, giving you a complete picture of where you stand.
