Curious about how fast and accurate you can type? Take our Page Typing Test to measure your Words Per Minute (WPM) and test your typing endurance with longer texts. This is a perfect way to challenge yourself and refine your skills.
Choose from one of the following options to match your typing goals:
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Typing fast in short bursts is one skill. Typing fast through four, twelve, or sixteen paragraphs without losing accuracy or focus is another. Most people practice the first and wonder why they still slow down when it counts — during long reports, essays, or anything that requires sustained attention.
The Page Typing Tests on TypingPlayground are built specifically for that second skill.
1-Page Test — 4 paragraphs. Long enough to be a real workout, short enough to fit into a spare ten minutes. This is the right starting point if you’ve only ever done timed tests and want to see how your accuracy holds up over longer stretches of text.
2-Page Test — 12 paragraphs. This is where endurance becomes the real variable. Your fingers might be fine, but your focus is what gets tested here. Sustained concentration over a longer session is a skill in itself — and this test exposes exactly where attention starts to drift.
3-Page Test — 16 paragraphs. The full challenge. If you regularly type long documents for work or study, this is the closest thing to a real-world simulation the platform offers. Finishing it with strong WPM and high accuracy means your typing can genuinely keep up with your thinking across an entire working session.
The right side of the screen shows everything relevant without getting in the way. Your paragraph counter tracks progress through the test so you always know how far you’ve come and how much is left. Your WPM updates live as you type, and your accuracy percentage adjusts in real time so you can catch a slip in focus before it turns into a pattern of errors. If a session isn’t going well, the restart button resets everything instantly.
Short-term tests measure peak speed. Page tests measure something more useful for most people — the ability to stay accurate and consistent across a realistic volume of text. The longer the test, the more honest the result. There’s nowhere for weaknesses to hide across 16 paragraphs, the way they can in a 60-second sprint.
Writers, students, administrators, and anyone who spends serious time producing documents will get more out of page-based practice than almost anything else on the platform.
No account needed. Pick your page count, start typing, and your results appear the moment you finish — WPM, accuracy, and a full breakdown of your performance. Start with one page if you’re new to this format, and work up from there as your stamina improves.
